H🔥t Takes Event
Goal: Create an event for young entrepreneurs and builders to have fun and meet other cool people (making friends >>> making LinkedIn connections)
We noticed tech events mostly feature the same homogenous crowd. We envisioned the opposite for Hot Takes. We invited artists, technical builders, investors, people who were just curious about the space… And of course, we wanted to curate an inviting space for women.
The Premise:
- Every guest is given a name tag. Instead of writing your name, you write your hottest take.
- Want to meet someone? Ask them about their hot take. It’s an easy reason to talk to anyone at the event.
- We also invited epic people to share their hot takes on The Hot Seat and then had the audience vote on the hottest take.
- Set the vibes with a 🔥 playlist.
I had a blast organizing this with Delali. Big thanks to Cory Levy for sponsoring the event, the d.school for letting us use the space, and Guayakí for providing the drinks.
